Ed's Old Windmill Restaurant is located in Canyon Lake, Texas on the Corner of FM 306 and Regal Drive, across from Tammarack Shores.
The windmill is known as a meeting place, and a place for people to gather for friendship. When I was a boy and we were working cattle we brought them to a central location and the windmills always were a great spot.
The windmills were strategically placed so that the livestock would not have to go very far for water. When you were in a large pasture that was new to you, you always looked for windmills to give you guidance so not to get lost.
These windmills had a large play on my life for bringing people together and the memories, and that is why there is a windmill in front and why it's called...Ed's Old Windmill!
